Wrote and Illustrated a book about all my favorite Indian foods and customs in an A-Z format. This was my final thesis project while obtaining an MFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design. While the thesis was focused on illustration, I took the opportunity to challenge myself with art direction, writing, book design, and typography. I created a hand-written type. Each letter of the alphabet was a combination of English and it's Hindi counterpart. My goal was to create a coffee table book as opposed to a recipe book. It would serve as a delightful bank of information for people not familiar with Indian cuisine, and a heartwarming reminder of our culture to people belonging to the diaspora.
